Boart Longyear is the leading provider of mineral exploration services and drilling products for the global mining industry and also has a substantial drilling presence for water exploration, environmental sampling, energy, and oil sands exploration.

Boart Longyear operates as an integrated business that covers two primary markets:

Global Drilling Services Division – the provision of contract drilling services for (i) the extraction of rock, soil and water samples for technical analysis and (ii) the drilling of wells, vents and other holes used in various infrastructure, energy and mining applications.

Global Products Division – the manufacture and sale of drilling equipment and consumables to the drilling industry, including its own Drilling Services division. The Company operates seven manufacturing facilities located throughout the world.
